Dinosaur National Monument

Dinosaur National Monument is the legacy of rivers, past and present. Here, preserved in the sands of an ancient river, is a time capsule from the world of dinosaurs. The world famous Quarry Exhibit Hall, re-opened in October 2011 after extensive rehabilitation of the building which protects over 1,500 fossils, is a world-renowned site where remarkable discoveries continue to be made and displayed to the public. The new Quarry Visitor Center, opened in the fall of 2011, is the monument's gateway to your fossil discoveries, scenic drives, river-rafting, hiking, and backcountry camping and other activities.
